do u know how to find the slope if u have two points?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i forgot the formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5 I think...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find slope you don't even need a formula I'm pretty sure you can just look at it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the possible answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

four fifths −five fourths five fourths four fifths

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- four fiths is one option as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

four fifths

OpenStudy (amriju):

if (x1, y1)) and (x2, y2) be the points...then slope= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)...now look in the graph...u have two points of whose co ordinates u can be sure of...one where it cuts x=0,y=2..thats (0,2) and the other in the other (-5,-2)..only the co ordinates of these two points r sure to u...others u cant be sure of..so go ahead now..find the slope..ans=4/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it has a positive slope because its going upwards. If it was going down to the right it would be a negative slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i understand that part i just didtn know how to apply the formula
