is this fuction continous x/((x+3)^2)

geerky42 (geerky42):

since there are variable in denominator, it could be zero, thus not continuous.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it z not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer in the solutoions is it is continous because x =-3 is not an element in the domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they didn't give a domain so i'm wondering how they came to that conclusion

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's possible that the domain doesn't include negative numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahaha thn u m8 as well try checking it out without da domain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

explain, don't quite get u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

@Moyo30 for some things, it's obvious that a negative number isn't in the domain. One example would be if were talking about the mass of an object... obviously you won't have negative mass.
