help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x-\frac{ 12 }{ x }=4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you can multiply both sides by x: x(x-12/x)=4(x) then you can cancel outyour x on the bottom(in the denominator). so you are left with x-12=4x. I would then subtract 4x from both sides and add 12 to both sides, which will give you -3x=12. U will then divide both sides by -3, giving you x=-4
