OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Do these mean the same thing? I do my work on a laptop at school. Yo hago mi trabajo en un ordenador portátil en la escuela.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you might want to double check but i think laptop is just laptop in spanish. also, im assuming that by work you mean homework. if so, i would write Yo hago mi tarea en una laptop en mi escuela. also double check on the gender of laptop

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

The laptop has a gender? o_o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

every object has a gender in spanish for example: el carro , la ventana, la cilla, el tambor etc. el-him la-her

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

So, would it be Yo hago mi tarea en un laptop en mi escuela instead of una laptop?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

depending on the gender if girl (or la) then leave it as una if boy (or el) then chacnge it as un i think its una though

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I'm not following you. How do I tell if it's a guy or a girl? ¯\(o_o)/¯

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its one of those things that you kinda have to memorize

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

But how? ._.

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

I mean, it's a laptop.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@y? Inanimate objects don't have genders. @poopsiedoodle Laptop is just laptop or computadora in Spanish.
