Write an equation of a line whose graph is parallel to the graph of y = 3x – 10.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=3x+2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know the answer im try to remember this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically parallel lines have to have the same slope... as long as the slopes are both 3, they are parallel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just multiply the equation with any constant and you'll get a parallel line, Ex: 2(y=3x-10), 5(y=3x-10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can just change the y intercept and keep the slope the same..that will give u a parallel line... the slope must stay the same...so 3 in this example
