A solution of a system of equations means where on a graph the two lines cross; So to figure this out you have to graph the equations, you can use a graphing calculator or I recommend using this website which is an online graphing calculator; http://my.hrw.com/math06_07/nsmedia/tools/Graph_Calculator/graphCalc.html So once you finish graphing the two equations you have to look for when they cross; Once you graph it, you find that the first equation is a parabola, and the second runs through this parabola twice, meaning there are 2 sets of points that the lines cross; The two points are; (-3, -8) and (1, 0) So the answer would be A.
