Think of it like, trying to get x alone, by itself on one side. 2x+1(symbol)5 Subtract one from each side. 2x(symbol)4 divide both sides by 2 x (symbol) 2 x is greater than or equal to 2 :] or..... Now you try the other half. Remember signs flip ( < & > ) when you divide by a negative number.

*Getting x alone on one side is meant for when you break them into 2 equations, individually. Like what I did there ^^^ Sorry if that confused you.
