agree or disagree with the statement: Lincoln is as influential today as he was in the past.
This is a history question, plus this is your opinion..
So what is your opinion?
@Rayvenn.14
Do you still need help?
i agree to it and i have to write an essay about how he is an influencing in todays society
sorry took me a minute
Ok... so what did he do that still influences people today? Did he do anything that changed how we live today? ( P.S. you live in the US right? it would make it easier if you did.. )
yea i do:) aha but dang umm he abolished slavery
Ok.. and he also did another thing... which is very important to the US
Abraham Lincoln made the decision to fight to prevent the nation from splitting apart. he also foreign policy was successful in preventing other countries from intervening in America's Civil War. and . Legislation Abraham Lincoln signed into law included the Homestead Act, the Morrill Act, the National Banking Act, and a bill that chartered the first transcontinental railroad.
Yeah I would say that the first part about the union is very important
why do you keep leaving.. it's a little rude
im sorry i dont mean too but yea im in school and my teacher sometimes checks it so i exit it out but i didn't think it would show but im always here so if it shows that im not you can just type and i'll know...you know.....so umm yea i dont mean to be rudee
oh by the way im raven
I am avalible for 10 more minutes.. I'm Erin.. Ok so why do you think that preserving the union and creating railroads is important?
because if we didn't have the union then the nation would fall apart and if we didn't have railroads to connect us then their would be no real nation and we'd proly all be like different types of "tribes" i guess instead of moving around and discovering different types of people like Native Mexicans Blacks and Whites and intermarrying and other stuff guess
*i
Well, not really.. I would say that Railroads were important because back then it would take a very long time to travel, and many people died during long trips, and because of railroads.. we could extend civilization and towns and other things to places we never could before ( such as areas with not enough supplies.. we could now ship them supplies by train)
oh okay
well thanks for helping me i appreciate eht
your welcome :)
LINCOLN-DOUGLAS DEBATE! YES, HE IS. For instance, JOHN LOCKE VS THOMAS HOBBES. Look into both if you don't know. They are important..
