Hello all ! f(x) is the dependent variable here, which is equal to 2xlnx, where x is independent. @Stacey wrote "y=2xlnx". She defined a new variable, which is again equal to 2xlnx. Hence, we can write f(x)=y=2xlnx. Now answering the main question by @adarakch: f(x)=2xlnx solve for x First of all, the question is incomplete @adarakch. This is only an equation with 1 dependent "f(x)" and 1 independent "x" variable. It would probably be: Differentiate f(x) or Integrate f(x) for a given condition f '(x)=0 or something!
