How do dissaggregate the change in a multivariable function into its component variables. I.e. f= y /x At point A: x=10 y = 10, f=1 At point B: x=5, y = 20, f =4 How do I break it up to show which variable the total change in f is assosciated with (i.e. how much change relates to the movement in x and how much to the movement in y) Thanks in advance!

In general, point discontinuities occur when a function is defined specifically for an isolated x-value. To find the point discontinuity, for a function, f(x), find the value of 'x' causes an 'undefined' result. If a denominator is x - 2, then the point discontinuity is at x = 2 because it divides by zero.
