How to Calculate the Work in case of rotational movement

Work = Force x Distance i spose it depends on if your looking at distance from an finish - start reference, or as a length along the path traveled.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

spose i use a 20N force to move a block 10m to the left, and then 10m to the right such that i end up back where i started. How much work was done? If the rotational movement forms a circle, Id assume the work done amounts to the Force times the radians traveled

yes of course torque touque=force*radius sin(theta) work=torque*angle moved
