2*log(3)x+4=1

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

are you trying to solve this..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, sorry I didn't know what I was supposed to do, I have never used this before, sorry.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so it looks like you need to solve for x start by subtracting 4 then dividing by 2 gives \[\log_{3}(x) = -3/2\] next you need to raise each side as a power of 3. this is to isolate x..... the log law is \[a^{\log_{a}(x)} = x\] so \[x = 3^{-\frac{3}{2}}\]

Thanks so much!
