Find the y intercept of the graph of this equation y = 5xsquared + 6x + 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y-intercept: when x=0 y=5(0)^2+6(0)+1 what does that give you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep, so your y intercept is (0,1)

1) The only thing you have to do to find out the y-intercept of this quadratic eqaution is look at the c term (the number without any variable attached to it) 2) That is your y-intercept so it would be (0,1) ... this works for every parabola Hope that helps :D
