What are the zeros of the polynomial function: f(x) = (x + 3)(x – 1)(x + 5)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The zeros for this equation would be: -3, 1, and -5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just set each factor equal to zero and solve for x

The reason is because, anything multiplied by 0 is equal to 0. So, if X = -3, then that first term (x+3), will become 0, and then it doesn't matter what the following two are equal to.
