heres an example solve for x: (x - 3)^2 = 25 take the square root of both sides: x - 3 = 5 or x - 3 = -5 these are easily solved - don't forget there are 2 square roots positive and negative
ok thank you!! how would you solve one with an integer before the x^2 such as 4x^2 +4x+1=75
you need to factor 4x^2 +4x+1 to see if its a perfect square it is in fact it equals (2x + 1)^2 - now proceed as in first example
ok thank you!!
