OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the question, sorry I didnt realize you couldnt see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to start out by factoring the (x^2)+8x +15, factor the difference of squares (x^2)-16, and factor out the 2 in 2x+6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The only issue Ive been having is I don't quite understand factoring.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just really stuck, especially in factoring. I am in great need of help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not that hard for the first one (x^2)+8x+15, you need to find two numbers if you add them together, the answer is eight, these same two numbers, if you multiply them, you get 15.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well that makes sense I suppose, I obviously got 3 and 5, so I substitute them in or...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've never done it, sorry, Im pretty lost. Just trying to learn.
