d. By process of elimination. a is never true, b can be true, c is not true (volume displaced is equal to the volume of the object, or less, never more). Also d is true!, the buoyant force must balance the weight, or the weight would sink. If the buoyant force was greater the mass would fly up off the water. So the forces are balanced -Dylan
