hi, okay i am taking Hispanic Lit. and this is the question my prof. is asking.¿A quién le habla la voz poética (el “yo” poético) en “Tú me quieres blanca”?

oh by the poem is by Alfonsina Storni El dulce dano "Tu me quires blanca"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says "Tú me quieres blanca?" Is "blanca" the name of a woman, here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just checking. Because if "blanca" were the name of a woman, it would mean "Do you love me, Blanca?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no...its a poem written by Alfonsina Storni "tu me quires blanca" idk if she is referring it to a name or because of her poem is about woman and purity?

and what man want in a women

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You know something? Honestly, I'm stumped. The wording is really strange. For example, I don't quite understand what (el “yo” poético) is supposed to mean.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

¿A quién le habla la voz poética en “Tú me quieres blanca”? means.... "To whom is the poetic voice speaking, in "Tu me quieres blanca"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol is ok...i am too but thank you for trying...idk whether is was saying "who is the author talking to" maybe thats what he means by "yo" but thank you for trying lol....but does my answer make any sense towards the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your answer does make sense. You're saying, "In general, the poetic voice directs (speaks) to all men. Even in the title, which points out that which a man wants in a woman."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you so much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cannot figure out, for the life of me, what "tu me quieres alba" means. Because "alba" means "dawn."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, you're welcome. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. =(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok :)
