Using primary punishers (positive punishment)
and taking away primary reinforcers (negative punishment)
wouldn't be ethical.

Basically, in research, it's not considered "ethical," (or "moral") to punish people, in any way.

Remember the Stanley Milgram experiments, where participants thought that some guy was being electrocuted to death? It's not "ethical."
