I need help finding an equation of the line that is vertical and containing the point (-3,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can use slope-intercept form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you determine the value of slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm sorry, you're going to use the point-slope form which is ; y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where m is the slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lilyflower19 since the line is vertical the slope if zero, if it's horizontal it's infinity.. then just substitute to the equation of point-slope form,, and poof! you got your equation of the line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks, just memorize the equations of getting the line, and your good to go.
