Alright so, I need help with unit rates/ratios. Easy stuff but I'm having trouble. Help me, someone?

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

convert both of them into pounds or ounces, your choice.

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

are you getting it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not really. Still confused.

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

1 oz = 0.0625 lb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to convert both units of weight into one common unit so that you can compare them. You can't compare say, 8 chocolates in a small box with 348973489 chocolates in a large container.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If 1 oz = 0.0625 lb, what is 2 oz in terms of lb? Then, what is 12 oz in terms of lb?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's starting to make sense. Can you like draw the first step in a picture form? It'll help me, seeing it will make me understand better.
