can anyone help ?? –x + 3 > 7. Why must you flip the inequality symbol when you divide by a negative number? can anyone explain this ? with two examples if possible please.

hartnn (hartnn):

if -x< a then -x can take the vales a-1 , a-2,a-3 .... and so on, that is x can take the values -a+1,-a+2,-a+3,. .....and so on which means x > -a hence when multiplying or dividing, we need to flip the sign.

got that ^ ? @mikaa_toxica13

okay thanks :) do u have another example ? i need 2

hartnn (hartnn):

we can make as many examples as we want... like 1) if 4-x > 9, then -x > 9-4 x < -5 *sign flipped* 2) -x < 10 so, x> -10

thank u :)
