cos(33deg)cos(27deg)-sin(33deg)sin(27deg)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Here's a nifty formula: cos(a + b) = cos(a)cos(b)-sin(a)sin(b)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lt. But I get that but how would i start it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, you have an expression like the right side of the formula I showed you, so you can find the cosine of the sum of the angle measures as on the left side of the formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lt. so what Im thinking, the answer would be something like cos(33+27)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lt. or cos(60deg) which is √3/2 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure it's not 1/2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh! I read my chart wrong ! it is 1/2 @lt.
