Me: It’s warm and wet outside.
Friend: yeah it looks gloomy out
Me: I think I’m going to wear my rain boots and a light coat
Friend: Yeah me to, and I’m going to bring my umbrella, just in case it starts raining
Me: That’s a good idea!
Friend: Do u have a umbrella?
Me: no, mine broke when the wind took it last year
Friend: oh. Well, you can borrow one of mine its purple!
ME: awesome, thanks!
Friend: no problem.

Friend: Si, yo tambien, y yo traere mi sombrilla, en caso de que empiece a llover

Me: no, mi sombrilla se rompio cuando el viento se llevo
Friend: Pues, tu puedes pedir prestado uno de los míos. Es purpura!

I personally think that translation's pretty good.

There's just one little thing:

When we wanna say "it looks gloomy out,"
we wanna use the adverb form of "outside," because we're talking about "where."

"Exterior" is a noun. Like the exterior of an object.
"Afuera" is the adverb. Like a place.
