How do I factor the following expressions: 1. -x^2 – x + 20 2. x^2 + 10x - 75

OpenStudy (anonymous):

probably easier to factor \(-(x^2+x-20)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. (x+5)(4-x) 2. (x+15)(x-5)

When you see a negative coefficient for the first variable, try factoring out the -1 is what satellite73 is saying. Then simply use trinomial factoring, do you know how to do that?

I'm a little behind, so Im not too familiar with it yet
