Is #1 like the Pythagorean Theorum?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am not sure lol

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

x is half the hypotenuse, so x = 10

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

y = x*sqrt(3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat about y?? @jim_thompson5910

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

y = x*sqrt(3) y = 10*sqrt(3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok. Well if it is the pythagorean Theorum, then the one that has the measurement on it is the hyppotenuse. And the hypotenuse value comes from the two legs. So it would be 10. Because if both the legs were ten, then 10 + 10 = 20. Which is the value of the hypotenuse.

@jim_thompson5910 i put this as my answer can it still be correct? look x=10 because its half of 20 y= 10 sqrt of 3

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yes the general 30-60-90 triangle is |dw:1354062058147:dw|
