OpenStudy (anonymous):

^^ number line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please explain HOW!

hartnn (hartnn):

so, a starts from 0 and ends to k which means you can write a= k-0 = k in same way, what u can write b as ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k^2 - k

hartnn (hartnn):

thats correct. so, b= k^2-k now ratio = a/b = 1/6 so u get 6a=b now just put the values you got in terms of k.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK sweet. Lemee tryyy

hartnn (hartnn):

sure, take your time :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k=7 ?

hartnn (hartnn):

absolutely correct. now u know how can u find b ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OH NO

hartnn (hartnn):

why no ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

K^2 - k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hah

hartnn (hartnn):

yup, put k=7 there...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nothing i misinterpreted something so 42?

hartnn (hartnn):

exactly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YAY @hartnn thankyou!!! that was so much simpler than i made it out to be ^_^

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
