OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Cell division is divided into 2 phases: Mitosis- Cytokinesis- The cell cycle takes a different amount of time depending on the cell. Give an example:

Hmm this seems to contain some good examples http://www.sparknotes.com/biology/cellreproduction/cellcycle/section2.rhtml Have you got any ideas for the definitions (ie. you tell me what you think and I can help refine them)

OpenStudy (poopsiedoodle):

Well, I haven't been over this in a few weeks, so I can't remember the definitions, so I'll guess. Mitosis- The process that a cell goes through before it multiplies. Cytokinesis- I don't remember.

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Ah I see, well yes - Mitosis is basically the process of cell multiplication or more specifically cell division. The clue for cytokinesis is all in the name: cyto- (cell) and kinesis (motion, movement). This is basically the end of mitosis where the two dividing cells break apart.
