Model the function rule y = -2x - 3 with a table of values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sooo confusing! My textbook isnt helping me at all =(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...and then it goes on to ask For the function rule y = -2x - 3, provide the x-y coordinates of the y-intercept and the x-intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah. It expects you to either model the graph by coming out with a table, like this:|dw:1354188002835:dw| or calculate values when y=0 or x=0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we do not do a table

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-1, -1) (0, -3) (1, -5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

draw the graph then?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I just need the x-y coordinates of the y-intercept and the x-intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I dont get that idea at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the intercept of the y-axis is when x=0.
