All three of these cells types have the same genetic information (when they are taken from the same person), so how/why do they look and act so differently?

human embryonic stem cells, adult stem cells, and skin cells sorry..:/ lol:)

but its supposed to be in the same person..

well technically all the cells originate from embryonic stem cells...

But the question is why do they DIFFER...so... That can be explained by specialization, no?

would it be because they are stem cells? and stem cells can turn into any type of cell?

Yeah, stem cells can form various types of specialized cells.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how would that make it look and act differently?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well it's sort of in the meaning...They can transform into different types of cells that are each very unique. Special. The why to this question is because each of these cells are highly specialized to performing their own task. The how to this question is in the function of each cell (Google their functions).
