you cannot factor the sum of two squares. it is prime. an example is like you had before \(x^2+25\) is the sum of two squares, it does not factor the difference of two square \(a^2-b^2\) factors as \(a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

an example would be \(x^2-25=(x+5)(x-5)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any ideas? @KerenNicole
