OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 2a+3 }{ 4a-5 }-\frac{ a-2 }{ 4a-5}\]

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

How would you do this? \(\dfrac{7}{3} - \dfrac{13}{5}\)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me sse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i would cross multiply

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Well, I hope you mean that you would find a commn denominator and then add. Very good. Can you do that with the original problem statement?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same denominators... simply subtract numerators

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummmm.....idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4a-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(2a+3)-(a-2) ======== 4a-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2a -a + 3 +2 = a+5 ---->numerator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a+5 === --------> the answer 4a-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)
