Another one :/ Write the equation of the line in slope-intercept form with a slope of –5 and a y-intercept of –1.

OpenStudy (hoblos):

the formula says: for a line having slope m and a y-intercept of b , its equation in slope-intercept form is y = mx +b here m=-5 and b=-1 so y= -5x -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm really not sure what you even just explained.

OpenStudy (hoblos):

okay.. you have to apply the formula y= mx +b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept .. what you only need to do is replace the given values of the slope and y-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do i do that lol

OpenStudy (hoblos):

you replace m by (-5) and b by (-1) and you obtain y= -5x - 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's it?

OpenStudy (hoblos):

yes !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.. that was simple.. lol thank you.

OpenStudy (hoblos):

pleasured to help (:
