two persons of equal weight are hanging by thier hands from the ends of a rope hung over a frictionless pulley. they begin to climb the ropes. one person can climb twice the speed of other wrt rope. who will get to the top first?

yes i have. but i dont seem to get where the speed factor will come in.
the distance covered is not the same. if one climbs faster, the other guy might also climb a shorter distance.
so will they get to the top together?

well i think i got it. without solving. since there is no external force momentum of the system is conserved. and since there masses are equal the rate at which they climb up the rope relative to ground is equal. hence they will reach at the same time. is that fine? correct me if i am wrong.
