HELP!! (2x-1)(3x+4)(4-2x) SHOW STEPS PLEASE :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, for this problem first you need to multiply out all the parenthesis. You can start by doing (2x-1) x (3x+4), which equals\[6x ^{2}+8x-3x-4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.....and for the last

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then you'll want to multiply that product by your last set of parenthesis, (4-2x). That ends up equaling \[-12x ^{3}+20x ^{2}+28x-16\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you need to solve for x or are you only simplifying? Also, do you understand how I got what I got?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes and yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, to solve for x you need to set the entire equation equal to zero. I'm honestly really sketchy on the details of how to solve cubic equations and I don't want to give the wrong answer, but this website should help you out: http://www.1728.org/cubic.htm

6x^2+8x-3x-4 should be multiplied by (4-2x)
