What does Monte-Carlo Analysis stands for in electrical engineering?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Monte-carlo analysis is a kind of statistical analysis of a system. For example in a Op-amp (operational amplifier) circuit, The two input mos must be perfect designed to behave similar. But due to process manufacturing variations , there is a kind of mismatch between them. Monte-Carlo analysis can be used in these cases o predict this mismatch in designing phase itself ( before manufacturing) . This analysis adds the variations that is given by models of mosfets. ( Fab models are used to realize that symbol that you use in any simulator tools to its actual behavior , for example if i place a resistor in my schematic , how computer will get to know it is what. so i need to model it . This model can be in form of equation. ( V=I*R) ) . This analysis is very regress. and takes o lot of time depending on complexity of circuit. i hope this will help...

of course this helped me so much. Thank you
