Given that the integral from [0,2] of f(x)dx=2, the integral from [0,3] of f(x)dx=6, and the integral from [3,6] of f(x)dx=4, find the integral from [0,6] of f(x)dx.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

[0,3]+[3,6] = [0,6] 6+4 = 10

Usually I would approach this as the integral from [a,c] = the integral from [a,b] + the integral from [b,c]. But two of these integrals overlap each other, so I'm confused.

Oh, so the [0,2] integral is not important here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep, dont think too hard :D

Lol ok thanks.
