I really dont understand how to do this. I need someone to explain to me the steps please.
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
the shading is above the boundary line
so the inequality will look something like
y > ...
or
y >= ...
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
so that rules out choice C
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
because that has a <= sign in it

No i need someone to explain this step by step please.

I'm showing you how to eliminate choices

No, I need to understand how to solve a problem like how would I solve -2y-3x<6?
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
to graph this, you should first solve for y
-2y-3x<6
-2y < 3x+6
y > (3x + 6)/(-2) ... the sign will flip because you're dividing both sides by a negative number
y > -3/2x - 3
Then you would graph the line y = -3/2x - 3
Make this a dashed line
Then shade above the line (since you have a > sign in the last inequality)
jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):
does that help?
