Given the linear equation 3y + 4x =12, find the y-intercept help please

That is most easily found by putting the equation into the slope-intercept form for the line. That general form is: y = mx + b So, that can be done by subtracting 4x from each side first. That will leave "3y" on the left by itself. So, then you divide BOTH sides by 3.
