Find lim (x² - x - 2)/(x³ - 2x² - x + 2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the limit as x goes to what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do u mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it is \[\lim_{x\to \infty}\] then the answer is zero, because the degree of the numerator is less than the degree of the denominator

okay

when you are being asked for a limit, it has to be a limit as x goes to something like \[\lim_{x\to 2}\] or \[\lim_{x\to -\infty}\] or something asking "what is the limit" without specifying what \(x\) is approaching doesn't work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what limit you wanted?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay got it thanks

yea i do now
