Hey hey hey peeps :) so I really need some help because my teacher is a drunk who doesn't know to teach :/ so could someone help me with this question? Solve for x in the proportion x over the quantity x plus 12 equals 1 over the quantity x minus 1. x ≈ −6.02 and x ≈ 5.02 x ≈ −3.46 and x ≈ 3.46 x ≈ −3.14 and x ≈ 4.14 x ≈ −2.61 and x ≈ 4.61

I think you should stop blaming other people for your problems and take responsibility for them.

OpenStudy (kainui):

Read through the question slowly and turn it into an equation bit by bit. It isn't that hard.

You meanie :( if your not gona help me, then dont respond to this cry for help! And also we have had a sub for the pass week due to the fact our teacher had alcohol poisoning! So :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And the sub was a pervy old fart who couldn't even see! Let alone actually teach us.....

OpenStudy (kainui):

Make "x over the quantity x plus 12 equals 1 over the quantity x minus 1" an equation. Surely if you saw: 3x-12=1 you would say, "three times x minus twelve equals one". What's so hard about reversing this around? Do it.

Kainui you should be nicer then Santa will bring you more presents :)
