What might scientists most likely look for on other planets with regards to living organisms? Phospholipids Carbon Glucose Hydrogen
I think it is carbon or hydrogen
I like how you think, but I'd guess glucose. Carbon and hydrogen are simple elements, they are naturally occurring throughout the solar system. I believe. But glucose and phospholipids are complex molecules only synthesized by living things, so finding them would be a very strong indication that something living had made them. It's a kind of silly question because glucose and phospholipids are made in large part out of carbon and hydrogen atoms. So if you were looking for glucose and phospholipids, you'd be looking in essence for carbon and hydrogen too.
I would think carbon has well because its one of the most important organic molecules in biology. In terms of chemistry, it has 4 valence electrons so it is always willing to bind to anything
