IS anyone up to really help me out? I got 8 questions right out of 20 and need serious help...anyone up for it?

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay my first one is In circle O, m<R = 23. Find m<O. (The figure is not drawn to scale.) A) 46 B) 23 D) 157

OpenStudy (phi):

R is an "inscribed angle" (it is on the circle) O is a central angle R's arc is QN O's arc is also QN for the same arc, central angles are twice as big as the inscribed angle

OpenStudy (phi):

You should memorize that factoid.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@phi very interesting fact.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So even if the point R moved, then it would always be twice the angle?

OpenStudy (phi):

yes R would always be 1/2 of O, as long as R's arc stays QN

OpenStudy (phi):

Can you figure out what m angle O is ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 46?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My next question is The figure consists of a tangent and a secant to the circle. A)9.2 B) 7.7 C) 14.3

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

Maybe you should post it up as a different question. It will be more fair to your answers

OpenStudy (pottersheep):

answerers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well that is how it was asked...sometimes changing the question can change the answers!
