What's confusing about it? Just add, subtract, multiply, or divide both sides by the same numbers until you cancel out everything on the left side leaving just x. So if you have 2x>4 then divide both sides by 2 to get x>2. That make sense?

First is to subtract 6 from both sides of the equation. Then you get 4x<-12. Next divide both sides by 4 to get the final answer x<-3. Now just plug in to check.! I hope i helped. :D
