\[\frac{ 2x^3y^6 }{ 5 }\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
simply, 8/20=2/5. then you'll subtract the power of the x.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thanks again...i need help with one last one ( i promise haha)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
hahah :) .. the third and the last.

can you show me how to simplify this?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
haha yeah, this is confusing :P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[(4a^2b)(-2a)^2=(4a^2b)(-4a^2)=-16a^4b\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
you'll solve the (-2a)^2 first. then you'll expand the 2 brackets and add the powers of the x .
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thankyou so much...i truley appreciate it. i wish i could giveu a hug through the computer screen :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):
is this a binomial?
4x^2 - 9
I believe it is lol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thats what ithink, but i had doubts
OpenStudy (anonymous):
a binomial expansion should be in the form of (a+b)^n.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
then its a monomial?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
a monomial is like: 1,x,x^2 .... x^n.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
crap..then what could it be? a degree maybe?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
could you please give me the complete question?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
4x2 - 9 is an example of a
a.monomial
b.binomial
c.trinomial
d.degree
OpenStudy (anonymous):
its 4x^2-9 not 4x2-9
