Let the set T be \(T:=\{1,2,\{1,2\}\}\). Is this true: \[T-\wp T=\wp T - T\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry, I thought I would be an interesting question but I just saw that is an easy one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ T - \mathcal P(T) \]Will give you \[ \{1, 2\} \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah and the other side is \(\{\emptyset, \{1\},\{2\}\}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yet \[ \mathcal P(T) - T \]Will get you a bunch of sets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you wio.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@No-data It's gonna be a lot bigger than that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My bad, you're right it has to be 7 elements.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[ |T| = 3 \\ |\mathcal P(T)| = 2^{|T|} = 2^3 = 8 \]You only gonna be taking out \(\{1,2\}\) so it should be 7 elements.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe I should take a rest lol.
