OpenStudy (cupcakedaisy):

explain how you calculate the volume of a cube ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the volume of a cube is the length of the side cubed that is why you read \(a^3\) as " a cubed" rather than "a to the third power"

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

A rectangle is a flat figure that has no volume. It does have an area. The area of a rectangle is the length multiplied by the width. A = LW If you mean the volume of a rectangular prism, then V = LWH, the volume equals the product of the length, width and height.
