Solve 2x^4+2x^3-6x^2-6x=0

OpenStudy (zehanz):

First, factor out all the common factors:\[2x(x^3+x^2-3x-3)\]

ok

OpenStudy (zehanz):

Probably, the rest can also be factored. Try a few "simple" numbers that makes it zero: I think x = -1 does the job. Then, you have \[2x(x+1)(x^2.......)\]What the 2nd degree polynomial is, can be found with a synthetic division of x³+x²-3x-3 by x+1. Are you familiar with that?

yes

i think i can take it from here, thanks alot !
