You could either rewrite it in vertex form, or you could take the halfway point between the two x-intercepts.

In this case, x = 2 and x = 6 are both y-intercepts.  A parabola is symmetric so halfway between these points is the line of symmetry.  Determine what x-value this corresponds to and then find the associated y value.  These two points will be your vertex.

expand it out by mutiplying it and then you can use the vertex formula
x=-b/2a to find the x coordinate of your vertex
then sub that x value into your equation to find your y value
