If A’s income is 20 % more than B, then what percent is B’s income less than A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm

Parth (parthkohli):

Actually wait.

Parth (parthkohli):

\(120\) and \(100\). So \(120 \cdot \dfrac{x}{100} = 100\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the question is confusing, a good trick is to pick actual numbers and see what you get suppose B income is $100 then A income is $120

Parth (parthkohli):

I've just taken an example.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then since B income is $20 less than A, you can compute \(-20\div 120\) to get your percent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u plzz tell the whole calculation step by step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get the wrong answer everytime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you try \(-20\div 120\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually i got it the easier way
